Hi – I am interested in getting some photos done of my month old son and maybe some family shots of my husband and I with him. Can you give me an idea of your pricing and how this works logistically. I’ve never had photos done before so this is new to me.

Thank you for your inquiry. I am in the process of creating my website and it will have more details on it, but for now here is the key information. Since I am new in this area and building my client base, I am pricing myself at the low end of the market. The sitting fee is $175 and prints start at $20. I am also currently running a special for anyone who books their sitting with me by the end of September. The sitting fee would be 25% off and you would also receive a print credit of $50 on print orders over $200. Prices are subject to change, but are confirmed upon setting a sitting date.
I am a natural light photographer and shoot on location. Parks, fields, water, quaint towns all provide interesting backdrops for photos. I have location ideas and you may have a place you like as well. I do my sittings starting 2 1/2 hours before sunset as that is the best lighting in my opinion . I can really get some fabulous shots as the sun retires. Newborn photo shoots can be taken any time during daylight hours, some of those shots would be done inside by a window using that natural light. Newborn shots could take place at the parent’s home or at mine. A window with good lighting is necessary for the shots.
Once you are ready to book your sitting we will have a phone consultation as to what you are looking for. We will then decide the best location and time of day for your photo shoot. The sitting fee is required within 5 days of setting your sitting date in order to hold your spot. With a newborn, the sooner you can set up a sitting the better – they are just easier to work with when they are young and sleepy.
